All the Colors I See

NY Is for New York

NY Is for New York is an alphabetic tribute to The Big Apple that captures the quintessence of the city, from historic landmarks such as the Brooklyn Bridge and the Flatiron Building to neighborhoods Greenwich Village and Queens.  And there’s a gorilla on every page spread for readers to spot (an ode to the famous one that climbed up the Empire State Building).

Niblet and Ralph are two apartment-dwelling calico cats (already a brilliant  premise).  Their story is about eventful mix-ups, happy accidents and new friendships.  And has one of the best picture book palettes ever.  Ever.

Sounds of Nature: World of Birds

A beautiful and informative introduction to birds all over the world, covering ten habitats — bush, wetlands, ice, desert, prairie, rainforest, woods, mountain, city and ocean.  The book also offers an immersive experience, with an opportunity to listen to the sounds of the different groups of birds on each page.  The back matter contains more avian insights along with descriptions of each habitat.  It’s a great book to consider if you’ve got nature enthusiasts or a budding orinthologist at home.  Head over to this post on Instagram and scroll right for an audio preview of the book.
