s'mores bowl

One night we wanted s'mores for dessert but didn't want to have to handle the ooey gooey mess.  So, we tossed a couple of handmade marshmallows, squares of Hershey's chocolate and Earth's Best Organic Crunchin' Grahams (it's what we had in the pantry) into a little bowl and zapped it in the microwave.  Definitely as tasty (but not as messy) as the handheld version!

thank you cards

These are little thank you cards that I made for Avery's birthday last year and this year. The last image (taken with my iPhone, btw) was how we packaged them up this year before giving out--with a sprinkle of Papabubble candy! The thank you cards were inspired by this blog entry on inchmark.

more birthday favors

These are some simple favors I made for the last little celebration of Avery's 2nd birthday.  (Btw, this photo was snapped with my iPhone because I was in a hurry.)  I punched holes in nut & party cups, tied and knotted grosgrain ribbon on each side to make a handle, filled each cup with some Valentine's Starbursts and a stretchy dinosaur from Target and voilà!  Favors!

nightmare before christmas party

Check out the genius birthday party my cousin Amy threw for her son Logan!  It was Nightmare Before Christmas-themed and oozed tons of Halloween inspiration!  I loved the vast array of spooky treats (the Children of the Kettlecorn and Zombie Fingers were among my faves) and the amazing details and time put into the eerily delightful decor and styling of the party.  The kids enjoyed decorating cookies, making aprons and painting Halloween-themed photo holders!
