Lately, Avery is very much into coloring. Thank goodness for our Mimi the Sardine spillmat, which is conveniently thrown over Avery's little table while she colors. She's marked up the spillmat countless times, keeping the surface of her table intact and white! Drawing is a great way for her to expend energy and it's been interesting to see her scribble evolve--first it started out as little and long single lines drawn with light pressure, turning into more defined lines drawn with more pressure in bunches that reminded me of staccatos. Now she's onto jagged lines. What's next?
